The web design company

Search Engine Optimization

It's important for companies to understand why some companies place better than other companies when it comes to Search Engine results. Many web design companies utilize techniques that can get you PERMANENTLY BANNED from Search Engines.

Google states this most eloquently and their guidelines can be reviewed at: http://www.google.com/webmasters/guidelines.html

As Google states, once a site has been removed, it will no longer show up in results on Google.com or on any of Google's partner sites. This can result in great expense and loss of sales to a company.

Some Techniques to Avoid

<NOSCRIPT>

If you click to view on your browser's menu then source, you will see the actual page source. You may see something like:

<NOSCRIPT>
<h1>- NH web </h1>
<h1>- NH web company</h1>
<h1>- NH website </h1>
<h1>- NH website company</h1>
<h1>- NH web designer</h1>
<h1>- NH web designers</h1>
<h1>- NH website designer</h1>
<h1>- NH website designers</h1>
<h1>Affordable web design for New Hampshire, NH website design. Companies hire our web designers for web design services. Each design by our web site company is a professional and affordable web design.</h1>
<p>Web design services provided by New Hampshire web designers are:</p>
<p>You have Javascript turned off in your web browser and may have difficulty with some parts of this web site design, or get the full effect of our website design.</p>
</NOSCRIPT>

This technique involves hidden text, a bad practice. It's fooling Google at the present but may not for long. Notice how they try to legitimize this by adding You have Javascript turned off... The NOSCRIPT tag is supposed to be used to communicate or help people with Javascript turned off.

This is a variation of the 1 pixel frame site and later on the Hidden DIV technique. In that technique, one would just make a <DIV> right after the body tag and make the DIV hidden.

There are a lot of other techniques and we'll be adding more to this soon. When you are reviewing a potential website company, look at their source. Do they have a page title that just goes on and on? Look at their page, do they have something hidden at the very bottom? Does it seem deceptive? If so, watch out!
